Seta grew up in the Victor Valley and has lived in Victorville for over thirty years. She is a graduate of Victor Valley High School and credits Victorville schools with providing the educational foundation she needed to pursue higher education. As a child of immigrants, a first-generation American, and an English Learner, Seta knows the power of a strong public education firsthand.

Seta graduated from California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) with a B.A. in English in 1999. She served as the site substitute at Victor Valley High School while pursuing an M.A. in English Composition at CSUSB, which she completed in 2001.

Seta has been employed as a classroom teacher with the Hesperia Unified School District since 2002, working first at Sultana High School and currently at Hesperia High School. Seta has also served as a site representative with the Hesperia Teachers Association (HTA) and is currently a member of HTA’s Elections and Political Action Committees.
